Lisa Bentley is a professional triathlete and coach. She has a mild strain of cystic fibrosis and despite this – has won 11 Ironman triathlon competitions! That last triathlon victor coming in August 2007 at Ironman Canada. The aptly named Ironman sport requires a 3.8-kilometre swim, 180-kilometre bike ride and a 42-kilometre run.

Presshive was honored to team up with REV3 to showcase such a legend in the sport of Triathlon. We developed a dynamic WordPress based site that allowed visitors to learn more about her history as a triathlete with a bio page and supplemental pages with more dynamic content including a blog, gallery, race schedule and upcoming coaching seminars.

Lisa’s blog pages feature some of WordPress’ power through defining categories for each post she made. In addition, we were able to create more categories by year, recent comments & posts, most popular, and tags used. Within her blog posts, she interfaced a Flickr based gallery system. Thanks to Flickr API we were also able to showcase these images on her ‘gallery’ section of the website, where they automatically synced with any changes that were made on the Flickr database. Her galleries were grouped into sets and Presshive was able to also display these groupings on her website. Lisa’s race schedule was a custom plugin by Presshive allowing each race to have custom fields such as: website urls, rank, and final race finish time.

With a legion of fans worldwide who are inspired by her commitment, down-to-earth philosophy on her sport, and an astonishing record of success, Lisa Bentley’s professional career is one to watch and Presshive and REV3 were able to showcase her accomplishments successfully with a dynamic WordPress content managed website.
